The Hummingbird Fish Finder Fishin’ Buddy 110 is a simple and low cost fish finding unit. Since it’s part of the Fishin’ Buddy series, it’s one of the fish finders oriented only to track fish and nothing else.
It’s equipped with a small head unit, with a 4-inch display, 4 level grayscale, 160 x 128 pixel resolution. As you can see it has quite a basic screen but that’s far from being an impediment from providing you with accurate results when it comes to telling you where the fish are.
The Fishin’ Buddy 110 has a simple Single Beam sonar which operates at 200 kHz, releasing a beam with an opening of 34°. It can go up to 1000 Watts PTP, and it’s quite reliable in waters up to 240 feet deep. Although I never used this model in waters that deep, but I’ve always got satisfying results in both salt and sweet water down to 100 feet.
The transducer of the Hummingbird Fish Finder Fishin’ Buddy 110 is mounted inside a 24-inch pole, and the head unit comes mounted on top of this pole. It also has a fixating device and you can attach it to the side of your boat or at the rear.
This fish finder model works on AA batteries and doesn’t consume much.
All in all this is one of the most economical Hummingbird fish finders, which will provide you with great results in finding fish. Really portable and flexible, you can use it successfully for ice fishing or for kayac fishing.
By the way, if you’re going to purchase this model from Amazon, I believe they have attached the wrong picture to this product, at least for now. A friend of mine bought one recently from that page and, yes, they sent him the right product. The Hummingbird Fish Finder Fishin’ Buddy 110 is the one in the picture attached to this post.
