
The Humminbird 859ci HD XD Combo is one of the fish finders / chartplotters equipped with an Xtreme Depth sonar, which makes it a great unit if you prefer down-dropping.
Similar to the other models of the 800 series, the 859ci HD XD Combo comes with an 7-inch diagonal screen, 800H x 480V pixel resolution, full color and LED backlit. The head unit has dual card reader and access preset buttons.
The fish finding capabilities of the Hummingbird fish finder 859ci HD XD Combo include Dual Beam Plus sonar, which can be operated in two modes (separately or simultaneously: 200 kHz with a 20° beam and / or 80kHz with a 60° beam. The Xtreme Depth sonar mode operates at 50kHz with a 74° beam. This fish finder has a depth capability of 3,000 ft, having a power output of 1,000 Watts (RMS) / 8,000 Watts (PTP). It comes with a standard transduder Transom-type, XNT 9 DB 74 T.
In terms of sonar capabilities, the 859ci HD XD Combo has the build-in precision GPS antenna and the ContourXD cartography pack. It also supports Navionics Gold/Hotmaps and Lakemaster maps, but these are optional. It does not support C-Map. Its memory can stock up to 2,750 waypoints, 45 routes, and 50 tracks (20,000 points each). This unit also has Ethernet Networking capabilities, and supports iPilotLink, NMEA2000, and Radar2, but these 3 last features are optional.
