As its name suggests, the 1159ci HD XD Combo is another fish finder equipped with Xtreme Depth technology, with a depth capability up to 3,000 ft., and a power output of 1,000 Watts (RMS) / 8,000 Watts (PTP). It’s one of the best Humminbird fish finders without Side Imaging and Down Imaging to have, the lack of these two sonar technologies cut off over $500 from the price.
This unit has Dual Beam Plus sonar with SwitchFire, its sonar including 3 operational modes: 200 kHz with a narrow, and more accurate, 20° view, 83 kHz, with a wider view of 60°, and the XD view, with a frequency of 50 kHz and a 74° view. Although it does not have SI, DI nor does it support 360 Imaging, this unit can however be upgraded with a Quadra Beam Plus sonar, for a more diversified view.
Its standard transducer is a Gimbal XNT 9 DB 74 T.
Similar to the other units of the 1100 series, the 1159ci HD XD Combo has a 10.4-inch diagonal display, 800H x 600V pixel resolution, full color (65,000 color grayscale), with LED backlight technology.
Its navigational capabilities include precision GPS, GPS speed and the ContourXD cartography pack, which covers over 3,000 U.S. lake maps. It can store up to 2,750 waypoints, 45 routes and 50 tracks (20,000 points each). It also supports Navionics Platinum+ , Gold & HotMaps, and Lakemaster, having 2 SD card slots.
The Humminbird 1159ci HD XD Combo is a unit with Ethernet. However, features such as Radar2, NMEA2000 are only optional. Like most 2014 new models, it does not support WeatherSense.
