
The Humminbird 1159ci HD DI Combo is currently one of the most performant Down Imaging fish finders available, one of the best Humminbird fish finders that you can choose for fresh or saltwater down-dropping and bottom fishing. Of course, along with its superior fish finding capabilities, comes quite a platette of navigational features.
Since it’s one of the units of the 1100 series, the 1159ci HD DI Combo is equipped with a 10.4-inch diagonal screen, 800H x 600V pixel resolution, full color (colors grayscale – 65,000) and LED backlit. It has HD Down Imaging, providing a crystal clear quality view of what’s below the boat. The Down Imaging sonar has 2 operable modes: 75° / 455 kHz or 45° / 800 kHz. This unit also has Dual Beam Plus sonar with SwitchFire, making available two other sonar frequencies: 200 kHz, with a 28° view, and 455 kHz, with a 16° view. Its depth capability goes as up as 600 ft., with the traditional sonar, while the Down Imaging mode is only capable of 350 ft. depth scanning.
This unit has a power output of 500 Watts (RMS) / 4,000 Watts (PTP). Comes with a standard Transom transducer, XNT 9 DI T. The box also includes unit cover and in-dash mounting kit. It does not have, nor it supports Side Imaging or 360 Imaging, even though it is a unit with Ethernet.
As far as its navigational capabilities of the 1159ci HD DI Combo go, this unit has built-in precision GPS, GPS Speed and the ContourXD cartography package. It also supports Navionics Platinum+, Gold and HotMaps, and Lakemaster. Its memory can store up to 2,750 waypoints, 45 routes and 50 tracks (20,000 points each). Features such as iPilotLink, Radar2, NMEA2000 are only optional. This unit does not support WeatherSense as its predecessor, the Humminbird 1158c DI Combo.
