The Humminbird 1159ci HD Combo is currently the most affordable model in the 1100 series. That’s because it only has the standard Dual Beam Plus sonar with SwitchFire, without Side Imaging and Down Imaging. It can however be upgraded with an Xtreme Depth transducer, to achieve superior depth capabilities, or with a Quadra Beam Plus sonar for better coverage. Its standard Dual Beam Plus sonar can operate at two frequencies: 200 kHz / 20° view and 83 kHz / 60° view. The sonar returns can be observed separately or simultaneously in SplitScreen mode.
Since it’s not a fish finder with Side Imaging, it does not support 360 Imaging.
With the standard sonar, the 1159ci HD Combo can achieve depths of 1,500 ft, while equipped with an Xtreme Depth one, its depth capability can reach 3,000 ft. It has a 500 Watts (RMS) / 4,000 PTP power output, and a standard transducer Transom XNT 9 20 T.
The head unit of this fish finder and chartplotter is similar to the other units of the 1100 series. It has a full color screen, 10.4-inch in diagonal, with a pixel resolution of 800H X 600V and backlight.
The navigational capabilities of the Humminbird 1159ci HD Combo include precision GPS and GPS speed, chartplotting and trackplotting, the unit having the built-in ContourXD cartography package. It can store up to 2,750 waypoints, 45 routes and 50 tracks (20,000 points each). It can support Lakemaster and Navionics Platinum+, Gold and HotMaps. It does not support C-Maps.
The 1159ci HD Combo is a unit with Ethernet, which makes available the sharing of various data with other fish finders. It can also support Radar2, AIS, iPilot Link, NMEA2000, but these optional.
